Most Scar challenges are difficult to complete, but can be made easier by finding Empathic Connections, or Empathies. Note that the Contrarian trait, and the Soul Shop upgrade Quintessential Resentment, which randomize weapons and talents, have no effect any randomized weapons/talents will be reset to the class' defaults. You'll keep your Fabled Weapon and be able to use it normally, which can be a huge help in completing scars. Fabled Classes can also be used in Combat scars.With this in mind, you might find it helpful to use the Soul Shop upgrades Preferential Treatment and Existential Appeasement to lock a class/spell combo that suits you best.However, for Combat scars, you'll start as your current class, and you'll keep your currently equipped spell. Timed challenges require you to destroy a number of stationary targets as quickly as possible.You'll also get 3 relic rerolls in total, with a max of 1 reroll per room.You'll start with 250 Resolve to spend on random Relics (at the cost of a lower score).Your total score is accumulated from all classes, so it's beneficial to complete them with as many different classes as possible.Combat challenges are typically against 1 or more bosses.Scar challenges take 2 forms: Combat, and Timed.
